As Mohabbatein completes 20 years of its release, Farah Khan recalls some sweet memories while working on the movie, right from Shah Rukh Khan not coming to rehearsals and learning everything in 5 mins to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan not complaining about the freezing cold
‘Parampara, Pratishtha, Anushasan, yeh iss Gurukul ke teen stambh hai’, ‘Ek Ladki Thi Deewani Si Ek Ladke Pe Woh Marti Thi’ are some of the dialogues that give you all the feels and can fill your hearts with 'Mohabbatein.' The iconic film starring Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan have gained a cult status in the Hindi Cinema. Wearing sweaters around the neck, violin, maple tree leaves and many more became synonymous to Mohabbatein. Well, as Mohabbatein completes 20 years of its release, the choreographer Farah Khan recalls some sweet memories while filming the movie, right from Shah Rukh Khan not coming to the rehearsals on time and learning the steps in 5 mins to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan not complaining about the freezing cold, she revealed a few insights that only makes this day special.
While talking to Pinkvilla, she remembered how the young actors in the film would need rehearsal months before the shoot but SRK used to learn it in a matter of some time and used to nail it. She said, "Shah Rukh would come and he would learn it in like five minutes because he never comes for rehearsals and he would just learn the steps in five minutes and that was the amazing part of it!" Talking about Aishwarya, Farah called her a thorough professional and how she used to shoot in a drenched saree in the freezing cold of London and not a complaint about it.
She said, "Ash being a thorough professional, freezing in London, wearing a white lace saree, drenched, and she would not complain. Her and Shah Rukh’s chemistry is something else in the film and that whole poetry of Ek Ladki Thi Anjani Si I think that has become almost iconic because of how they did it."
Apart from SRK and Ash, Mohabbatein also stars Jugal Hansraj, Kim Sharma, Jimmy Shergill, Preeti Jhangiani, Uday Chopra and Shamita Shetty.
